October 28, 2016
The 2016 World Series is tied at 1 game apiece – good! That will allow the Cubs to win three games at home and celebrate at Wrigley!
Ben Zobrist actually does know that the Cubs are going to win this year – below, I have posted for the first time a letter I sent him just before the All Star Game this year. It is only slightly redacted. The essay following explains why the All Star predictions were off, but the World Series prediction for 2016 has not been taken back.
How are you? You’re having a great season! I’m contacting you because I know you’re a believer and I know you take an uncompromising stand for your faith. As a fellow believer in our Lord Jesus, I want you to know what I’m doing. My goal is to bring honor and glory to Abba Father – Elohim, Yahweh – just like Jesus did. I take no credit myself – I am a worthless vessel hoping to be of use to the Master.
I sent several things I’ve written over the past year. I have been studying baseball history for the past year, and I’ve been astonished at what has been revealed to me. Abba Father does, INDEED, speak to us in baseball history! Why, of course He does – He declares Himself to be Elohim, the All-Powerful One, every time anything happens!
To make a very long story short – it has been 70 years since the Cubs’ last World Series, and 108 years since the last Championship for the Cubs. I believe that the Cubs have been cursed by Abba Father (no kidding!) until this year. The key manifestation of the Curse: The Babe’s Called Shot in the 1932 World Series. That was a sign that the Cubs were being placed on their SECOND 84 year curse. (Their first 84-year curse? For throwing the 1918 World Series to the Red Sox – yes, 1918, not 1919! That ended in 2003 – YES, AGAIN! Does 2003 ring any bells? The curses overlapped, so the manifestation of its ending was VERY NEGATIVE!) So what do you get when you add 84 plus 1932? 2016, of course!
Ben, another Divine Irony about all this is that I’m not a Cubs’ fan – I’ve been a Phillies’ fan since 1966. But – hey, that doesn’t change a thing about my desire to see the Cubs win it all this year. I’m expecting another miracle – that the Phillies will be the team the Cubs finally eliminate to get to the World Series. Another Providential note: I predicted that the Mets could win the World Series in 2015 because the Lord blessed another out-spoken believer – Daniel Murphy. But, I said, the Royals had an evangelical as well: Ben Zobrist. I say that YOU are the reason the Lord blessed Kansas City with last year’s win!
OK – before I go… one more thing. I predicted three things for this year’s All-Star Game: that Kris Bryant will win the Home Run derby (his contusion won’t be as bad as they think); Jake Arrieta will win the game… and the starting second baseman for the NL will win the MVP award for the game. Hey – I’m not putting any pressure on you; you can play the game with supreme confidence!
All Star Predictions (written before the All Star Game was over)
OK – game’s not over yet… and Jake Arrieta could still be the winning pitcher (I did hear that he didn’t want to pitch because he had pitched on Friday).
I was waiting to see what would happen. The Lord doesn’t make mistakes (like I do), but do you realize how close Ben Zobrist came to having a chance to be MVP? The NL had runners on second and third in the fourth, with one out. Carlos Gonzalez smoked a line drive at Jose Altuve for the second out, then Addison Russell grounded out for the final out. If Gonzalez or Russell had gotten on base, Zobrist would have come up as the go-ahead run. But Daniel Murphy went into the game in the top of the fifth, so Zobrist won’t be MVP.
Interesting: even though Kris Bryant didn’t win the Home Run Derby – because he didn’t compete – he DID hit a home run in the actual game.
I was wrong – why? Doesn’t the Lord know the future? I predicted these things for the purpose of giving HIM the glory if these came true. I think I was wrong because I kind of picked names out of the air, hoping I would be right (I wanted atheists to explain these things – How did I know?) I did believe I was being led by the Holy Spirit – but these are things that were apparently not to be revealed.
Remember: I don’t claim to KNOW anything… Elohim does. I have no control over any of these things… Yahweh does.
Here are some points to ponder:
- My All-Star predictions were not really based on any research. There were no signs pointing to Kris Bryant, Ben Zobrist, or Jake Arietta in this year’s All-Star Game. BUT – there are plenty of other signs that I HAVE pointed out that are significant and can’t be ignored. Like, at the end of the 2015 season, I pointed out that Jake Arietta’s no-hitter “reversed the curse” placed on the Cubs by Sandy Koufax’s Perfect Game in September of 1965 – a more than 49 year spread. Cole Hamel’s no-hitter over the Cubs at Wrigley was a sign that drew attention to the last time the Cubs had been no-hit… which was Sandy Koufax’s Perfect Game. When Arietta no-hit the Dodgers AT THE VERY SAME LOCATION as the Koufax gem, it was a sign that that curse was over.
- Babe Ruth’s Called Shot occurred in the 1932 World Series. This is not a random, odd-ball event! The Babe himself chose THIS VERY MOMENT as the “Greatest Moment of his career.” That raised hand and pointing finger – which the Babe said was indicating “Strike Two” – was interpreted by the crowd at Wrigley and everybody watching (including the radio announcer) that he had pointed to the fence and then preceded to hit the ball there. That was a sign of the third “Curse of the Bambino” (the second was on the New York Giants in 1923) – an 84-year curse that is UP THIS YEAR! Again – no random event there!
- The way the Cubs’ fans treated the greatest Jewish slugger in the history of the game – who had publicly honored Yahweh by sitting out on Yom Kippur in a pennant race (in 1934) in the 1935 AND 1945 World Series was a disgrace! The Anti-Semitic remarks were vicious, to say the least. After the 1945 Series, the Cubs were given a 70-year exile from the World Series. Time’s up!
- Let’s hear any of YOU, my critics, predict anything. You won’t because you can’t! I have done a huge amount of research on “The Hand of Elohim” in MLB History – I’ve posted just about all of it. I have reviewed over the Red Sox “Curse of the Bambino” and how that was broken – just amazing! I have reviewed over the histories of the Brooklyn Dodgers, the New York Giants, the Philadelphia/KC/Oakland A’s, the Philadelphia Phillies, as well as the most cursed team of all time, the Chicago Cubs. I have briefly examined the histories of the Boston Braves (the FOURTH Curse of the Bambino), the Cleveland Indians AND the Tampa Bay Rays. All of them show the providence of Abba Father!
The billy goat curse? Forget it! It’s “the Curse of the Bambino, Chicago style.”
And it’s over.
And don’t give me any glory – give it all to HIM!
